Raymond C. Frierson, CPA/PFS, CFP
Mr. Frierson, president of Frierson Solá & Associates, P.C., is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. His concentrations while earning his Bachelor of Business Administration degree were tax and accounting. He subsequently earned the designation of Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), and also the more unique credential of Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Mr. Frierson as a CFP and CPA, has actively performed financial planning and public accounting for over 25 years. His experience includes practicing with a national public accounting firm in the areas of tax, audit, and consulting. He is a director of the Texas Society of CPAs (TSCPA) and is past president of the Houston CPA Society. Other licenses maintained by Mr. Frierson include NASD Series 7, 6, 62 (Corporate), 63 (State), 52 (Municipal), and life insurance. Mr. Frierson is also a member of the Houston Financial Planning Association, Houston Estate and Financial Forum and serves, or has served, on numerous boards of charitable, civic, and professional organizations in the Houston community.
Vanessa B. Solá, CPA
Ms. Solá is a graduate of the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. She also holds a Master of Science in Accountancy from the University of Houston. She is a Certified Public Accountant with national firm experience. Her expertise includes individual, corporate and partnership taxation; estate, individual and corporate tax planning; and general business consulting. Her industry knowledge includes international tax, real estate, non-profits, and personal taxation. She is a member of the AICPA, TSCPA, and Houston CPA Society.
Ms. Solá is past Chairman of the Board of AAMA (the Association for the Advancement of Mexican Americans). She is past Treasurer of Talento Bilingue de Houston and the Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. She serves, or has served, on numerous boards of charitable, civic, and professional organizations. Ms. Solá is fluent in Spanish and has taught introductory accounting courses as part of the University of Houston-SBDC Small Business Program.
